The AI Clause

CRITICAL

Your financial documents and transaction data are never used to train AI models, including our own or any third-party models.

Both document parsing and the Ask-anything chat run on our own self-hosted AI model, on infrastructure we control. Your data is never sent to any third-party AI provider — not OpenAI, not Google, not anyone.

Because there is no outside AI vendor in the loop, there is no third party that could retain or train on your data. The model holds your rows only for the moment it takes to answer a question, then discards them.

When chat answers a question, only the parsed rows relevant to that question are used — never your raw documents. Your financial data does not leave our systems for AI processing. Full stop.

Data we collect

Account data
Your name and email address, received from Google OAuth at sign-in. We do not collect your Google password.
Financial documents
Files you upload: PDF statements, CSV exports, photos of receipts. These are stored encrypted and used solely to build your canvas.
Usage data
IP address, browser type, pages visited, and feature interactions. Used for security monitoring and product improvement. Not sold or shared.
Cookies
Session cookies required for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. Full stop.

We share data only with the vendors required to operate the service:

Payment processing: Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record, handles billing and remits taxes. Dodo receives only what billing requires — never your financial documents or transaction data.
Cloud hosting: Our infrastructure provider stores your encrypted data. They have no ability to read the contents.
AI processing: None outsourced. Parsing and chat run on our own self-hosted model — no third-party AI vendor receives your data. See the AI Clause above.
Law enforcement: We disclose data only when legally required to do so, and only to the extent required.

Data deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings then Account then Delete account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Deletion removes: your account profile, all uploaded documents, all parsed transaction rows, your canvas layout, chat history, and any rules or preferences you have set.

Complete purge from all systems, including backups, completes within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when it is done.
